Step 1: Carefully cut out the leaves and flowers. Take your time with this step. Your best bet is to cut slowly, turning the paper as you go along.
Step 2: Continue cutting.
Step 3: Apply a light layer of decoupage directly to the ornament.
Step 4: Place a paper piece on the decoupage, carefully smoothing it out with your fingers. Rainbow Dash coloring pages
Step 5: Repeat until the ornament is covered to your liking. Don’t think too much about the placement of each piece; keep it random and organic.
If the edges of the paper begin to wrinkle, smooth it out with a wooden Popsicle stick. Simply apply firm pressure to flatten the paper.
Step 6: Repeat Steps 1-5 until you have created a batch of patterned ornaments. Let them dry completely.
Here’s a clever crafty tip: Place each ornament on an upside down bottle cap or roll of washi tape. This technique will prevent the decoupaged ornament from rolling around while it dries.
Once dry, your new ornaments are ready to dress up your tree. Happy holidays!
